I discovered someone rather intensely amazing during my nightly Pinterest trolling. Her name is Morita Haruyo and she's a Japanese artist who does Ukiyo-e-looking ladies in a more modern way. Her paintings are exploding off the screen with vibrant color! I think it almost crashed my browser. Unfortunately I'm having a hard time finding good, large images or her work... her website is a bit hard to navigate. Oh, how I want to know more and see more of her work! >_<

His crazy sketchiness/wild spatter/paint insanity is just the thing I love! Booooo that he doesn't have a page I can "like" on FB, but I shall use the handy dandy Firefox bookmark. I would LOVE to have a print of his work. Time to go decide which one I want. Heee! On a sad note, I've been having this dratted cough that doesn't seem to be a cold. I just adore Lu Cong's ethereal, mysterious, slightly sad girls! The luminescent colors seem to match his beautiful subjects, and although his medium is oil, I feel like they are very light on the paint, almost like sketches with a bit of color added.
